Release The Arms- The Flamingo Drill
Many students tend to use too much body on the downswing. When they rip the hip or body too soon their arms slow down and the club never can catch up except by an intense hand throw which messes up their contact and club face direction.
Whilst this drill is not for everyone- it is a very good drill to learn to get the arms and club to move faster by locking the left side using a drill I call- The Flamingo.
Standing on one leg also requires balance so that becomes another aspect that can be beneficial from swinging the arms faster to the ball and using the body more in the follow through and through swing.
