Initiating better ground force enables the body to rotate faster and stronger, something all the great ball strikers did.

Increasing distance can have a lot to do with quality of strike- the angle of descent or ascent (with the driver)- spin rate etc.

The most important creation to help gain distance is swing speed- the faster the club can move the more ball speed will be created and hence the farther the shot can go- if struck well.

In this video I show one of my junior students a way to help him hit the ball farther as he prepares for the Drive Chip Putt event

Student Steve was a good player and could hit the ball reasonably solid on most shots-

He did however have a tendency to draw the ball too much for his liking- especially as the clubs got longer.
