Trying to jump start the swing from a static address position can interfere with the flow of the swing. Here are a few swing triggers some great players used to get their swing in motion.
In my series of discussing different backswings- we now reach the inside takeaway. Exhibited by great players such as Snead, Palmer, Knudson & Bobby Jones, the inside takeaway has a lot of merit.
Having space on the backswing helps us have the room in transition to not force the downswing and to not have to make room or throw the clubhead away from the top of the backswing.
Getting behind the ball on the backswing helps with shoulder turn. We don't however want to sway the upper body or move to the outside of the right leg in doing so.
